Luov releases 'Role Playing Life' on October 21, the ending theme for Chi Fu Yu

The group Luov has confirmed that their new single, Role Playing Life, will be released digitally on October 21, 2026 at 12:00 AM JST. The song serves as the ending theme for Chi Fu Yu, the fantasy anime that premiered on TV Tokyo on October 6.

This marks the group's ninth single, arriving just two weeks after the series began airing. If you're curious about how it sounds, the anime's official YouTube channel has already published the creditless ending video, where you can hear a preview of the track.

The anime's full title is a tongue twister for the ages: Tsuihō sareta Cheat Fuyo Majutsushi wa Kimama na Second Life wo Ōka suru. The story follows a mage who can grant enhancement points to any object, not just weapons, and can nullify their effects whenever he wants. After being expelled from his party, he decides to live a second life on his own terms.

Where to watch Chi Fu Yu and when each episode premieres

The series has been airing in Japan since October 6, every Tuesday at 24:00 on TV Tokyo and its affiliate networks. AT-X offers it starting October 8 at 23:30, with reruns on Wednesdays beginning October 14.

As for streaming, ABEMA and d Anime Store have the fastest simulcast: every Tuesday at 24:30, right after the TV broadcast. Other platforms, including Netflix, Prime Video, U-NEXT, and Hulu, add it to their catalogs starting October 9 at 24:30.

We're keeping a close eye on this premiere. Luov's ending theme has that melodic touch we love for closing out fantasy episodes, and the creditless video preview has already left us eager to hear the full version.
