Attack on Titan: The Musical Announces First World Tour for 2027
The musical based on Hajime Isayama's manga will kick off in Singapore in April with a Japanese cast that already performed it in Tokyo and Osaka.
Five years after the Attack on Titan manga closed out Eren Yeager's story, the character returns. Not in an anime sequel or an extra chapter: he does it on a stage. Attack on Titan: The Musical announced on October 13, 2026, its first world tour, opening in Singapore between April 15 and May 2, 2027, at the Sands Theatre in Marina Bay Sands.
The Japanese production has been filling theaters in Osaka and Tokyo since 2023, and already had a one-off international outing in New York in October 2024. Now it makes the leap to a tour that, according to the organization, will visit several countries, although only the Singapore stop has been confirmed so far.
Hajime Isayama, author of the original manga, did not hide his enthusiasm for this stage. In a statement picked up by the official site, he said that when he saw the show in person he was impressed by its power and that the musical felt like the perfect medium to tell this story. That is no small praise coming from someone who has seen his work adapted into anime, films, and video games.

Eren Yeager's return to the spotlight has something of a reckoning with the character. His arc remains one of the most divisive in modern anime: the boy who swore to wipe out the Titans after his mother's death ends up becoming the greatest threat to humanity beyond the walls. The Rumbling was not just any plot twist; it was the decision that forced his friends to confront what he had become.
The musical does not rewrite that ending. It interprets it. And that is the difference from any animated sequel: the stage allows the story to breathe in another way, with music by Linked Horizon, the group behind Guren no Yumiya, the anime's iconic opening, as a bridge between the theatrical production and the franchise's sonic signature.

For the Singapore stop, the main cast brings back names that already brought the characters to life in Japan:
- Yukia Takano as Eren Yeager
- Yui Soma as Mikasa Ackerman
- Misora Shimomura as Armin Arlert
- Ryo Matsuda as Levi
- Shunichi Takahashi as Erwin Smith
Direction is handled by Go Ueki, with lyrics by Masafumi Hata and Kaori Miura. The supporting cast is extensive, with more than twenty actors covering everyone from Jean Kirstein and Sasha Blouse to Carla Yeager and Floch Forster. This is not a small production: it is a show built to tour with all its weight.

The next cities on the tour will be announced on the world tour site, which has not revealed more dates so far.
That Attack on Titan is still alive five years after the manga ended says a lot about how Isayama's work resonated. And that its next big international step is a musical, not a sequel, is a decision consistent with a franchise that always preferred to take risks over repeating itself.
