Yumene Connect Gets TV Anime With a Raunchy Teaser

The comedy Yumene Connect is getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement comes with a teaser and a promotional image with a rather risqué tone, faithful to the humor of the original work.

The manga follows Yūhi Takamiya, a high school student with no friends, and Nona, a slightly clumsy alien saleswoman trying to fulfill his wish for a social life. In the announced cast, Yūsuke Kobayashi voices Yūhi and Yū Sasahara plays Nona.

The Team Behind the Adaptation

Direction is handled by Sōta Yokote, who comes from working on the third season of To Your Eternity. The anime is being produced at STUDIO MASSKET.

The main staff also includes Yoshihiro Watanabe as character designer, known for Haganai and The Testament of Sister New Devil, and Gigaemon Ichikawa as series composer, with previous work on Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden and Himitsu no AiPri.

A Young Manga in Full Publication

Kō Sawada began publishing Yumene Connect in 2024 in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The series is moving at a good pace: its tenth volume goes on sale on October 16, 2026, just two days after this announcement.

The teaser makes it clear that the series won't hold back when it comes to showing the spicier side of Yūhi and Nona's relationship. It's a comedy that plays with the alien's clumsiness and the protagonist's loneliness, and the trailer exploits it without any pretense.

There's no release date yet or details on the season's length. It also hasn't been confirmed which platform will offer it outside Japan. With the manga still in publication and the anime just announced, it's likely that the coming months will bring more information about the schedule and the full cast.
