The panel brought together Mai Kadowaki, voice of Illyasviel von Einzbern; Kaori Nazuka, voice of Miyu Edelfelt; and official cosplayer Arri Amenoto. ABC TV presenter Shinpei Kitamura completed the lineup. The full event archive is available on ABEMA until October 25.
The end of a franchise with two decades of history
Prisma Illya began in September 2007 as a spin-off manga of Fate/stay night, with TYPE-MOON supervision and script and art by Hiroshi Hiroyama. The work has been published in Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine since then. The first anime adaptation arrived in July 2013, and since then the franchise has alternated TV seasons with films.
The new installment is presented as the end of the series, coinciding with the manga's twentieth anniversary. The story picks up the final arc: after the battle against the Ainsworths, Illya, Miyu, and Kuro must face Darius, who has completed Julian's conceptual substitution. Pandora's box is already open and disaster spreads across the world.
"The magical girls' final battle is about to begin," reads the official synopsis.
The production staff largely returns from previous installments. Shin Oonuma directs the series, with Ken Takahashi as episode director. The script is handled by Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase, and Kazuya Hirata is in charge of character designs. SILVER LINK. returns to produce the animation.
The main cast remains
Alongside Kadowaki and Nazuka, Chiwa Saito voices Kuro. Sumire Morohoshi voices Pandora, while Natsuki Hanae and Katsuyuki Konishi play Julian and Darius Ainsworth respectively.
The franchise had already revealed a first visual for the new series in 2025, with Illya, Miyu, and Kuro as the leads. The broadcast channel announcement is the first concrete detail about the airing since then. The exact premiere date within 2027, as well as the episode count and international distribution, are still unconfirmed.
