Paradox Live gets its first anime movie in 2027

The hip hop multimedia project Paradox Live will get its first anime movie. Paradox Live THE MOVIE will open in Japanese theaters in 2027, the project team announced, and a first teaser visual has been revealed.

The poster shows the leaders of each team on stage, in an image that anticipates the start of a live performance. Along with the visual, the production has also presented the official logo of the film.

The movie is defined as a "LIVE FILM" that will tackle both the euphoria of the stage and the less visible side of the artists behind the scenes. The announcement does not specify which teams will have more weight in the story or whether the film will pick up the plot of any of the project's previous seasons.

A live event and a new CD for 2027

The movie announcement comes with other news. On June 19 and 20, 2027, the Paradox Live Dope Show 2027 will be held at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY in Chiba. The event lineup will be announced later.

To enter a special lottery for tickets, fans must purchase the CD Paradox Live -LIVE FOR the TRUTH- Round1 "UPRISING", which goes on sale on February 10, 2027. The disc includes a serial code to enter the lottery and can be pre-ordered starting today.

Ten teams and a new music video

The project has also released the full music video for Against the Chains, a song that brings together the ten current teams of the franchise. To the previous nine groups —BAE, The Cat's Whiskers, cozmez, Akkan Yatsura, Buraikan, VISTY, AMPRULE, 1Nm8, and GokuLuck— ILLGATOR is now added, formed by voice actors Haruki Ishiya, Yū Serizawa, and Sōta Dōjima.

In total, 32 performers take part in the song. The video uses still illustrations created for the occasion and serves to present the universe of the project's fourth season.

The music video for 'Against the Chains' brings together ten teams and 32 performers, the largest lineup shown so far in 'Paradox Live'.

The franchise has also confirmed a collaboration with the game app Break My Case, which will host a special in-game event. The dates and exact content of that collaboration have not been detailed.

The specific release date for Paradox Live THE MOVIE has not been announced yet, beyond the year 2027. Which team do you hope to see with more prominence in the movie? Tell us in the comments.
