Black Clover: Noelle activates her Saint Valkyrie Dress
The second season unveils Noelle's new battle visual and Megicula's character designs
The sixth episode of the second season of Black Clover aired on November 7 on TV Tokyo and other networks, and it delivered a moment Noelle Silva's fans had been waiting for. The mage finally activates her Saint Valkyrie Dress, the Saint Valkyrie Dress, in the middle of battle.
This is no ordinary power. Noelle awakens it after a pact with Undine, the water spirit, and the result is a transformation that completely changes her presence in combat. The armor envelops her, gives her aggressive mobility, and launches her straight at her enemy with an overwhelming power gap. The episode captures exactly that instant: the blow that decides everything.
The scene arrives at a high point in the story. Noelle stops being the girl who couldn't control her magic and becomes a real offensive asset. And the anime underlines it with a presentation that doesn't hide the intent: this is her moment.
Noelle's new battle visual
Along with the episode, the second installment of the Saikyō Battle Visual, the season's most intense battle visuals, was released. The first was for Asta. This one goes to Noelle, and the concept is direct: "The strongest one is standing before you."
The illustration is drawn from the perspective of Vanica, the host of the demon Megicula. That point of view changes everything: we don't see Noelle posing, we see her as her enemy sees her. Her gaze, her posture, the tension of the suit. Noelle is not on the defensive. She's coming for her.
The contrast with Asta's visual is clear. If the first conveyed a head-on clash, this one conveys pressure. The difference isn't just aesthetic: it speaks to Noelle's place in this final stretch of the arc.
Megicula revealed
The news also brings something that had been kept under wraps until now: the character designs for Megicula, the highest-ranking villain to appear in this phase of the story. The anime shows them for the first time alongside comments from her voice actress, Sayaka Ohara.
Ohara didn't expect it. She says it plainly: she followed the first season as a viewer and never imagined she'd end up voicing Megicula. "I got so excited that, before I knew it, I was clenching my fists," she says. She also admits that playing such a twisted character demands a different register from her: "She's a cruel and merciless Megicula. To convey her charm to everyone, I faced the role with my whole body."
Megicula is the root of the curse that haunts the royal family and the center of Noelle's revenge. Her design had to carry that weight, and the anime saved it for this moment. Seeing her now, with Ohara's voice on top, closes a piece the manga had been setting up for a long time.
With the sixth episode already aired, the second season enters its most violent stretch. The clash between Noelle and Vanica is set, and Megicula is no longer just a name in a curse: she has a face, a voice, and a design that is finally public.
