Our Class Lawn
Two kids spend their summer nights watering the lawn, taking care of the grass as if it were a precious garden. They work together under the moonlight, finding joy in their simple routine and the shared responsibility. Each evening, they fill their watering cans and carefully tend to every patch, watching the grass grow green and lush under their care.
But when patches of the grass begin to turn yellow, confusion and worry set in. They struggle to understand why their efforts are failing, despite their consistent watering. The yellow spots spread, and the kids become increasingly anxious, wondering if they have done something wrong or if the grass is simply beyond their help.
Determined to find an answer, they observe the lawn more closely and eventually learn about a natural phenomenon called summer blight. This discovery helps them understand that some things are beyond their control, even with the best intentions and hard work.
