A visual work that begins with one of Rembrandt’s paintings and adds free-form decomposition and reassembly. The film explores the transformation and reconstruction of the original image through abstract animation, creating a dynamic interplay between the classical artwork and modern experimental techniques.
The fifth entry in Kurosaka's experimental short film series, it won the first Image Forum Festival prize. Through rapid cuts, shifting colors, and geometric distortions, the piece challenges the viewer's perception of a fixed masterpiece, breaking it down into fragments that are then reorganized into new, fluid compositions. The result is a meditation on the nature of art and the boundaries between order and chaos.
