Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War releases its final trailer before the ending

Episodes 9 and 10 of 'The Calamity' air on October 19 and 26 on TV Tokyo

Javier Fernández 17 October 2026

The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime has released its last trailer before the series closes. The video, titled "The Last Trailer," arrives with the final part, The Calamity, already airing for weeks and with Ichigo Kurosaki's definitive battle underway.

The trailer was shared by the anime's official account on X, along with the dates for the next two episodes. Episode 49 airs on Monday, October 19 at 24:00 on TV Tokyo and its affiliate networks; episode 50, on Monday, October 26 at the same time.

"Kurosaki Ichigo, the last battle. The human world, the Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo. The final bloody war that engulfs the three worlds begins."

The Japanese text accompanying the trailer leaves no room for doubt: the story is entering its final stretch and the conflict spans the three planes that have structured Bleach since its start in 2001. The preview shows nonstop action, with battles between shinigami and Quincy, and a presentation that bets on spectacle in every cut.

The final stretch of 'The Calamity'

The Calamity is the fourth and last part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. The adaptation of the final arc of Tite Kubo's manga began in October 2022 and has split its broadcast into four blocks. This last batch started with the invasion of the Soul King Palace and the direct confrontation against Yhwach, the leader of the Quincy.

Episode 49, which airs this Monday, October 19, arrives with a technical team led by Satoshi Sakai and Tomohisa Taguchi on the storyboard. Taguchi also signs the episode direction alongside Chen Dali and Shintarou Matsui. Yukio Hasegawa handles the animation direction, with Saeko Ozawa, Cindy H. Yamauchi, Mari Tominaga, and Hasegawa himself as chief animation directors.

Studio Pierrot Films continues production, as in the previous parts of this adaptation. The series airs on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, and the trailer points to the anime's official website for more information.

The last stretch of a long adaptation

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War resumed the manga adaptation after the original series stopped in 2012, with the Karakura Battle arc. The return, announced in 2020, covers the last 20 volumes of Kubo's manga, published in Weekly Shonen Jump between 2012 and 2016.

The broadcast of this final part has kept the weekly episode format, without long pauses between blocks. With episodes 49 and 50 already dated, the series faces its last weeks on air. The trailer doesn't announce how many episodes remain after 50, but the video's title —"The Last Trailer"— and the tone of the preview place the ending very close.

The official account on X has accompanied the release with a campaign in Japanese and English, a sign that the final stretch is also being followed closely outside Japan. The trailer is available on YouTube, and the anime's website centralizes broadcast details and the cast.
