The 'Bajo el Hombre Diferente' fighting game launches in December with PC and mobile crossplay
Tencent opens a paid closed beta with data wipe on November 4 to fine-tune combat before release.
The 3D fighting game based on the Chinese comic Bajo el Hombre Diferente (一人之下) now has a release window: December 2026. Tencent announced it and has opened recruitment for a final closed, paid test starting November 4.
The beta, with data wipe at the end, will be available on PC and on mobile with iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS. Progress will be shared between computer and phone, and those who play with a QQ account will be able to face WeChat players. However, data from one account does not transfer to the other: each login platform keeps its own profile.
To enter the test you need to fill out a form and choose the platform and account carefully, because each selected player only gets access on one system. An important detail to avoid missing out due to a careless sign-up.
A combat system that doesn't copy the rest
The studio behind the project is Morefun Studios, the Tencent team known for Naraka: Bladepoint. Here the approach moves away from the classic "punch, kick, and special effect" of many fighting games. The abilities come from martial arts, Taoist practices, and traditional Chinese divination techniques.
The idea is that thinking about the sequence of hits matters more than mashing buttons. The system leaves room for a novice to defend and chain some flashy exchanges, while those who master the mechanics have space to squeeze out long combos and opponent reads.
The stage also plays a role: there is a full 3D battlefield where you can do air throws, knockdowns, and air recoveries, with a pace designed so each duel feels like a real martial arts exchange and not a race to see who lands their combo first.
The comic's story, also included
Besides versus, the game dedicates a significant part to story mode and character plots. The base is the original comic, so the scenarios and personality of each fighter stay as readers know them.
Bajo el Hombre Diferente is one of the most popular series in current Chinese comics. It mixes supernatural action, humor, and conspiracies in a world where normal people coexist with "outsiders" capable of using inherited powers. If you have read something like Jujutsu Kaisen, the premise will sound familiar: a secret society, ancestral techniques, and a protagonist dragged into a conflict much bigger than himself.

No details have been given about the final business model beyond the fact that this test includes purchases, nor about a possible simultaneous global release with China.
