Naruto Mobile Finally Comes to the Rest of the World Ten Years After Its Chinese Debut

Bandai Namco announces at New York Comic Con 2026 the international release of the fighting game for iOS and Android, trailer included.

Some of us have been waiting ten years, and the moment has finally arrived. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Naruto Mobile will leave the Chinese market to launch worldwide on iOS and Android. The announcement was made during New York Comic Con 2026, and there's no concrete date yet: we'll have to wait a little longer.

The game, developed by MoreFun Studios —the Tencent studio—, originally launched in China on May 19, 2016. Since then, it has maintained a massive player base thanks to constant updates and the addition of new characters from the universe created by Masashi Kishimoto. Now, at last, we'll be able to try it beyond its borders.

Fast-Paced Battles with All the Jutsus

For those unfamiliar with it, Naruto Mobile is an action and fighting game where you control the most well-known ninjas from the series. The appeal lies in unleashing their most iconic techniques —the jutsus and special abilities— in fast-paced battles that recreate confrontations from the anime. The visuals mimic the series' aesthetic, with quite flashy animations, the kind that catch your eye.

It's a similar proposal to what we've already seen with other mobile fighting games based on shōnen franchises, but with the advantage that they've spent a decade polishing the content here. This isn't a rushed launch: it arrives with the work already done.

That said, Bandai Namco still hasn't specified which regions and languages will be available in this international version. We know it's coming, but not exactly to whom or when. Details will be revealed during Jump Festa 2027, so we'll have to keep an eye on that event.

Project Rasengan: Much More Than a Game

The worldwide launch of Naruto Mobile is part of Project Rasengan, a plan through which Bandai Namco aims to expand the Naruto universe between 2027 and 2029. And it's no small thing: it includes new manga, anime, and video game projects.

Among the announcements are a new manga by Masashi Kishimoto himself, a four-episode animated crossover between Naruto and Ninku, and a collectible card game arriving in June 2027. In short, the ninja universe is going to give us plenty to talk about in the coming years.

The news has us excited, honestly. Spending a decade watching Naruto Mobile thrive in China without being able to sink our teeth into it was a bit frustrating. Now we just need them to confirm the date and, hopefully, for the dub or text to arrive in English. For now, we'll have to settle for the trailer and keep our fingers crossed.
