Crunchyroll Expands Its Fall 2026 Lineup with From Far Away and More Premieres
The platform adds the fantasy romance, a psychic cop, and several new series to its season
Crunchyroll announced today, October 1, 2026, a new batch of titles for its fall programming. Among the highlights is From Far Away, the fantasy romance adapting Kyoko Hikawa's manga, along with Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, HORROR COLLECTOR, and the TOUGEN ANKI: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc arc.
The platform confirms that its fall season keeps growing. Joining the already announced premieres are stories ranging from classic fantasy to police comedy and urban horror. Let's take a look at what awaits us in each one.
From Far Away: The Isekai Born Before the Word Existed
Noriko is on her way home from school when she suddenly appears in a strange, hostile world. She is rescued by Izark, a seemingly brave young man who hides the deepest darkness within him. An ancient prophecy says Noriko holds the power to unleash that evil. Now, bound by fate, they must survive together.
From Far Away (Kanata Kara) is one of those shōjo titles that shaped a whole generation of manga readers in the 90s. Its arrival as an anime is the kind of news that hits us right in the heart: we'll finally see Noriko and Izark's story animated. There's no concrete date within the season yet, and no studio has been confirmed, but the announcement alone is enough to get us excited.
A Psychic Cop, a Cold Girl, and More Fantasy
Super Psychic Policeman Chojo comes from Arvo Animation. Ippongi starts his first day at the West Chinjuku police station and discovers his partner, Chojo, uses his psychic powers for everything except work. Things change when yakuza threaten Ippongi's family dojo: Chojo starts taking the job seriously, and together they form a duo as clumsy as it is effective.
For those who prefer school romance, The Cold Sato-san is Only Sweet to Me (Tezuka Productions) tells the story of Sato, the prettiest girl in school and also the coldest. Or so it seems, because her classmate Oshio discovers her secret in a café: she's actually shy and clumsy. They share a love for photography and desserts, and from there a romance blossoms between two socially awkward people. It reminds us quite a bit of Komi-san, but with a more intimate touch.
The batch also includes Dandivine (Good Smile Company and Liden Films), a return to the combining robot genre. Twenty years after defeating the enemy Aposdoll, the president of the Kasuga toy company wants to revive Dandivine even if it disrupts world peace. When an Aposdoll reappears in Tokyo, a new battle begins. Those of us who grew up with 80s and 90s mecha have a must-watch appointment here.
Isekai with Debts, Goddesses, and a Lethal Team
Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I'll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest! (SynergySP) is pure RPG fantasy isekai. Lent is part of the Skypiercers, and his Gift allows him to lend enormous amounts of magic. When his companions become heroes and kick him out, he discovers a hidden power in his Gift and sets out to recover every last drop of magic from his former party, with interest. The title says it all, and the premise promises revenge with a cute fairy included.
In Full Clearing Another World Under a Goddess with Zero Believers (HORNETS), Makoto Takatsuki and his classmates die in a bus accident and wake up in a world of gods, magic, and monsters. Everyone gets strong stats except him, a rather weak mage apprentice. When a minor goddess with no believers asks him to be her first devotee, he accepts. Together they will use cunning to conquer a world that is against them. It's one of those isekai best enjoyed for strategy rather than raw power.
The batch closes with ITEM, set in Academy City from A Certain Magical Index. Beneath the peaceful surface of the city lies a dark side, and ITEM is an elite team of four girls with lethal abilities who carry out missions that can never come to light. The arrival of a fifth girl drags them into a world of violence and moral corruption. And for horror lovers, HORROR COLLECTOR introduces Fushigi, a boy in a red hood who travels the world storing urban legends in physical form in his notebook. His goal: capture Himitsu, the girl who brings them to life.
Crunchyroll confirms there will be more titles to announce in the coming weeks. All the series in this batch will be available on the platform within the fall 2026 season, although concrete premiere dates are still missing for most.
