Yonin Kyoudai

The story follows four sisters living together in post-war Japan, each with a distinct personality and her own dreams and struggles. The eldest sister takes on a maternal role, managing the household and caring for her younger siblings, while the second sister is more independent and career-focused. The third sister is artistic and sensitive, often clashing with the practical realities of their life, and the youngest is still a schoolgirl, navigating her own coming-of-age challenges.

As they face financial difficulties, societal pressures, and personal ambitions, their relationships are tested. The sisters must balance their individual desires with their responsibilities to one another, learning to support each other through hardships. Conflicts arise from differing viewpoints on love, work, and family duty, forcing them to confront what it truly means to be a family in a rapidly changing world.
