In 1985, a young Japanese archaeologist named Yuki travels along the ancient Silk Road, drawn by legends of a mysterious festival. She arrives in a remote village in Central Asia, where the locals prepare for the Zoma no Matsuri, a celebration that honors a forgotten deity. Yuki's expertise in ancient cultures makes her both curious and cautious as she observes the rituals.
As the festival unfolds, Yuki discovers that the ceremonies are not merely traditional but are tied to a powerful and dangerous force. The villagers believe that the god Zoma awakens during the festival, demanding a sacrifice to maintain balance. Yuki must navigate the thin line between scholarly observation and survival as the festival's true purpose becomes clear.
