University student Kiyotaka Hirose finds a love letter hidden inside a borrowed book. The letter is meant for someone else, but the writer is a fellow student who is about to leave Tokyo for his hometown. Determined to return it, Hirose sets out to find the intended recipient.
His search leads him to Seiji Hanashiro, a black-market match seller. Drawn to each other at first sight, the two men become entangled in a web of fate and their own growing feelings. A single love letter turns their lives upside down.
