A young woman seeks the help of the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes after her sister dies under mysterious circumstances. The victim's last words were a cryptic reference to a "speckled band," and her death occurred in the locked bedroom of their family estate. Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson travel to the remote manor to investigate, where they encounter the woman's intimidating stepfather and a strange, unsettling atmosphere.
As Holmes examines the room and interviews the household, he uncovers a series of peculiar clues, including a bell rope that does not ring, a ventilator that connects to the adjacent room, and a bed bolted to the floor. The detective must piece together these details to unravel the truth behind the deadly speckled band before another tragedy strikes.
