Semishigure

In 1904, Natsume, the frail son of a prominent family, is deemed unfit to enlist in the Japanese forces for the upcoming war with Russia. Resigned to becoming a teacher, he feels his dreams of serving his country slipping away.

His fate changes when he meets Daigo, a student who reminds him that a teacher can inspire and lead future soldiers and leaders of Japan. Daigo promises to become a great soldier under Natsume's tutelage, but his motivations are not solely for the honor of Japan.
