Haruki is betrayed by his girlfriend Kiyuka and his best friend Ikeda. After retreating from them, he starts to become friends with Atsushi, one of the most popular guys in school. Through a conversation with Atsushi, Haruki realizes the mistakes he made and reconciles with Ikeda, accepting his relationship with Kiyuka.
Atsushi, who eavesdropped on their conversation, offers to take care of Haruki. They grow very close, and Haruki finds himself falling in love with Atsushi. Meanwhile, in a separate story, childhood friends Arata and Yoshiki face a drastic change in their relationship as they enter high school, struggling to bridge the gap of fear between them.
