Pieces of the Moon

A collection of three short stories illustrated by Hotaru Odagiri. In the title story, a young man named Takashi lives with his older brother and sister-in-law, feeling like an outsider in his own home. His only comfort is the rooftop garden, where he tends to plants and dreams of escape.

When a mysterious woman named Mizuho moves into the apartment next door, Takashi becomes fascinated by her. She seems to understand his loneliness, and a strange connection forms between them. As their relationship deepens, Takashi must confront the secrets of his past and the fragile boundaries between reality and fantasy.
