In a world unmoored from any specific time or place, massive structures rise across a barren landscape. Workers and machines labor over colossal public works, erecting enigmatic buildings whose purpose remains unknown. The focus is not on plot but on the sheer formal spectacle of construction, as concrete, steel, and geometry transform the environment.
Elsewhere, elegantly choreographed battles unfold in a series of combats. Figures move through stylized confrontations, their actions rendered with precise, almost architectural lines. These sequences of fighting and building form two parallel explorations of form and movement.
Yuichi Yokoyama's manga strips away narrative convention to present a civilization governed by alien aesthetics. The result is a work of philosophical complexity and stunning visual power, where the act of creation and destruction becomes a pure, abstract language.
