Toru Kanda moved to Tokyo three years ago, leaving everything behind to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. Lonely and struggling, he finds solace in his correspondence with his pen pal, Takeshi Sagawa, who becomes his only emotional support. Through their letters, Toru develops feelings that go beyond simple friendship.
When Toru finally meets Takeshi in person, he is shocked to discover that his gentle and supportive pen pal is actually a yakuza. As Toru grapples with this revelation, he must decide whether his feelings can survive the reality of who Takeshi truly is. Their unlikely bond is tested as they navigate the gap between the person imagined in letters and the one standing before them.
