A diligent but rigid employee is reassigned to work under a flippant supervisor who entered the company the same year as him. Office gossip claims the supervisor climbed the ranks by using his body, creating an awkward and tense dynamic between the two colleagues. As they navigate their new working relationship, buried emotions and unspoken desires begin to surface.

In a separate story, a young boy suffers abuse from his stepfather after losing his mother. A mysterious stranger keeps crossing paths with the boy, who clings to a cigar lighter he found as his only source of hope. When the boy finally collapses, the stranger must decide whether to intervene in his tragic life.
