Eagle: The Making of an Asian-American President

イーグル

In the year 2000, U.S. Senator Kenneth Yamaoka, a third-generation Japanese-American, stuns the political world by announcing his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination just a month before the New Hampshire primary. His campaign promises to break barriers and reshape the American political landscape.

Meanwhile, in Japan, young newspaper reporter Takashi Jo grapples with the sudden death of his mother. Her passing seems to seal the mystery of his father's identity, an American serviceman his mother never named. Before he can process his grief, Takashi is unexpectedly assigned to cover Senator Yamaoka's presidential campaign at the direct request of the candidate's staff. As Takashi embeds himself in the high-stakes world of American politics, he is drawn into a personal quest that will intertwine his own hidden past with the senator's historic run for the White House.
