Saito, a wandering samurai, encounters two ronin named Harada and Okita on a dark night. Mistaking them for drunkards, he prepares to fight them, but their confrontation is interrupted. The three men end up working together to rescue a woman in distress, setting off a chain of events that plunges them into a world of chaos and danger.
As they delve deeper into the trouble, they face bizarre threats ranging from an albino cult leader to revolutionaries stealing wooden heads. The story balances moments of absurdity with a serious tone, following Saito and his unlikely allies as they navigate a series of strange and violent conflicts in feudal Japan.
