High school students Natsu and Kumiko start playing the popular MMORPG "Apocalypse Online" after being influenced by two friends. Upon logging in for the first time, they receive a rare item: a pair of marriage rings that grant special bonuses when they are near each other in the game.
While Natsu treats their in-game relationship as a funny quirk, Kumiko secretly wishes it could become real. As they explore the virtual world together, their differing feelings create tension between them, blurring the line between game and reality.
