Katase works at a workshop specializing in the traditional, intricate art of yuzen dyeing. He keeps to himself and deliberately keeps others at a distance, preferring solitude over social interaction.
His quiet routine is disrupted when he is told to allow a friendly young man in training to stay at his place. As they begin to share a living space, Katase's carefully maintained walls start to crack, forcing him to confront his own feelings and the possibility of connection.
