A feature film adaptation of Journey to the West directed by Mirai Mizue. The story follows the classic Chinese tale of the monk Xuanzang and his three disciples—Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing—as they embark on a perilous pilgrimage to retrieve sacred Buddhist scriptures from India.
Blending CG animation with Mizue's trademark style, the film brings the legendary journey to life with a unique visual approach. The group must overcome a series of supernatural obstacles and confront powerful demons that threaten their quest.
