柳水華苑

A short animation drawn on washi paper and cel with a marker and animex. Some kanji characters, taken from the Japanese poem 'Iroha Uta,' begin to metamorphose into various creatures. The film explores a psychological and visual transformation, where written symbols come to life and shift into different forms.

As the kanji morph and evolve, they create a surreal and abstract narrative that blurs the line between language and imagery. Each character undergoes a unique metamorphosis, revealing hidden meanings and connections within the ancient poem. The animation technique, combining traditional washi paper and cel with marker and animex, gives the film a distinct texture and organic feel.
