Emotion mask
心相阿亀
A young woman hides her true feelings behind a mask of cheerfulness, struggling to connect with those around her. She navigates daily life with a forced smile, concealing the emotional turmoil and loneliness that churns beneath the surface. Her interactions are hollow performances, and she feels increasingly disconnected from the world and the people who fail to see her real self.
As her isolation deepens, the mask she wears begins to take on a life of its own, distorting her perception of reality and her relationships. The cheerful facade becomes a barrier that she cannot lower, and she finds herself trapped in a cycle of pretense. She must confront the growing divide between her inner self and the persona she presents, before the mask consumes her entirely and she loses the ability to feel anything at all.
