You Are a Four Leaf Clover ends in October and its anime is already in the works
Koushi's manga concludes on October 15 and its final volume hits shelves on December 8 in Japan.
The manga You Are a Four Leaf Clover now has a date to say goodbye. Koushi's work, published by Akita Shoten, will conclude on October 15 in Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine, as confirmed by the publication's 45th issue.
The twelfth and final collected volume will arrive in Japanese bookstores on December 8. The publisher released volume eleven just this Wednesday, so the final stretch is coming in full force.
A story of bullying, promises, and secrets
The plot follows Uichi, a student who was once popular but now endures constant harassment in high school. Despite everything, he strives to keep a promise he made to Yotsuha, his first love from elementary school: to become a veterinarian.
Just when Uichi hits rock bottom due to the bullying, Yotsuha reappears before him. At first glance, she hasn't changed since childhood, but her eyes hide a determination that could completely alter the protagonist's life. That reunion is the trigger for the romantic suspense Koushi has been building since July 2024.
The mix of school drama, bullying, romance, and personal secrets gives the series the feel of those stories where the past returns to test the protagonists. Here, the promise between Uichi and Yotsuha marks the starting point of an ending that was foreseeable, but no less impactful for it.
The anime is already on the way
Although the manga is ending, the universe of You Are a Four Leaf Clover will live on with an anime adaptation. For now, there are no details about the studio, production team, voice cast, or release date.
What is clear is that the franchise isn't saying goodbye entirely. With the manga closing in October and the final volume in December, the anime announcement comes at just the right time to keep interest alive.
We'll have to wait and see if this adaptation reaches Latin America with a dub or subtitles. For now, the manga has no Spanish license announcement either, so it's worth keeping an eye on any moves from publishers.
