Who Made Me a Princess Anime Reveals Japanese Voice Cast
The adaptation of the Korean manhwa premiered in September, and its Japanese-dubbed version is now airing with a star-studded cast.
The anime adaptation of Who Made Me a Princess is now airing, and we finally have all the details on its Japanese version. The series, based on the Korean work written by Plutus and illustrated by Spoon, premiered on September 28, 2025 on terrestrial television and has been airing regularly since October 1.
Production is handled by Chinese studio Chongqing Color Pencil Animation, with iQIYI and KuaiKan behind the project. The Japanese version comes courtesy of KADOKAWA, which oversees the dub for Japanese audiences.
A Princess Who Decides to Change Her Fate
The story puts us in the shoes of Athanasia, princess of the magical empire of Obelia. She has a peculiar gift: she can see her future in dreams. And what she discovers is far from pleasant: her father, Emperor Claude, will banish her on the day she turns 18.
Raised alone in the Ruby Palace and rejected by her father since birth, Athanasia refuses to sit idly by. With a small body but enormous determination, she sets out to rewrite her destiny. It's pure fantasy, the kind we love, with family drama thrown in.
Japanese Voice Cast
The Japanese cast is one that catches your attention at first glance. Athanasia will be voiced by Sumire Morohoshi, whom we remember for her energetic roles. Claude will be played by Tomoaki Maeno, perfect for cold, elegant characters.
- Felix Robane: Ryohei Kimura
- Lucas: Nobuhiko Okamoto
- Ezekiel: Shuichiro Umeda
- Jeanette: Manaka Iwami
A cast that mixes veterans with newer voices and gives the series a lot of character. Japanese dub direction is handled by the KADOKAWA team.
The main staff is led by Shi Jiansheng, Zhao Jusan, Li Wenzhen, Jiang Yufeng, and Ding Wenming in direction. Character designs are by Liu Keli and Cai Wenjie, with Liu Keli also serving as chief animation director.
Production Details and Licensing
The original work is published under CARROTON's KWBOOKS label. The animated adaptation boasts a large production team featuring names like Zhang Wen on series composition and Zhang Yingying as general director.
Music is by Zhu Ruiwen, and sound is handled by Shanghai Jika Culture Communication. The animation combines traditional techniques with 3DCG and motion capture, which shows in the more dynamic scenes.
There's no official confirmation yet about a Latin American release with Spanish dub or subtitles. We'll have to keep an eye on platform announcements.
The Who Made Me a Princess anime looks poised to be one of those titles that hooks you from the very first episode. The premise of changing a foretold destiny is reminiscent of other fantasy works that have already won us over, but with that Korean manhwa touch that gives it a distinct flavor.
Will you give Athanasia a chance? Let me know in the comments.
