To Love-Ru Celebrates 20 Years with Pop-Up Shop in Shibuya and 14 New Illustrations

The event kicks off on October 8 with exclusive merch, a Momo figure, and an autograph session with Yabuki and Hasemi.

To Love-Ru is celebrating. The manga by Kentaro Yabuki and Saki Hasemi marks 20 years since it began serialization, and to commemorate the occasion, a pop-up shop will be held at the IP Bookstore on the sixth floor of SHIBUYA TSUTAYA in Tokyo. The event opens on Thursday, October 8, and runs through Monday, November 2, 2026.

The highlight of this anniversary is the 14 new illustrations that Yabuki drew exclusively for the occasion. They feature seven heroines from the series, each with two designs: an idol outfit version and a casual clothes version. The characters are Lala Satalin Deviluke, Nana Asta Deviluke, Momo Belia Deviluke, Haruna Sairenji, Yui Kotegawa, Mikan Yuuki, and Yami (Golden Darkness).

Merchandise in Two Waves: October 8 and 24

The shop will release products in two batches. On the first day, nine items go on sale, including B2 tapestries for 3,850 yen, acrylic stands for 2,200 yen, clear files for 550 yen, autograph cards for 660 yen, and double-sided acrylic keychains for 880 yen. The 660-yen pins come in two versions—school uniform or casual clothes—and are sold blind-box style.

The second wave arrives on Saturday, October 24 with four new products: logo stickers, acrylic boards, two B2 tapestries, and T-shirts. Keep an eye on the dates: these items will only be available during the final ten days of the event, so if you want one, you'll need to go during that period.

For every 3,300 yen spent on eligible items, customers receive a random bromide card from a set of 14 exclusive designs. You can't choose the design, and they're distributed while supplies last. Doing the math, completing the 14-card collection would mean spending 46,200 yen, though it all depends on your luck with the random draws.

Autograph Session and Momo Figure

One of the event's main attractions is the autograph session with Kentaro Yabuki and Saki Hasemi, scheduled for Sunday, October 25 at 1:00 PM. To participate, you need to enter a lottery beforehand. Registration runs from October 8 at 9:00 AM until October 18 at 11:59 PM, and winners are announced starting October 22 at 6:00 PM.

To enter the lottery, you need the code from a ticket given when purchasing eligible merchandise or related books at the store. Eligible books include To LOVE-Ru, To LOVE-Ru Darkness, the short story collection Parade, and the artbook Harem Gold. If you wait for the second merchandise wave on October 24, you'll miss the registration window.

Additionally, a painted prototype of a 1/7 scale figure of Momo Belia Deviluke will be on display, based on a 20th anniversary illustration. It's produced by Design Coco and captures the moment Momo is changing into her idol outfit. Pre-orders begin on October 8 at 10:00 AM, though the price will be announced later.

The news comes at an ideal time for those of us who grew up with this series. To Love-Ru defined a whole generation of ecchi and romantic comedy fans, and seeing its heroines in new illustrations after all this time is a gift we didn't expect. The Shibuya event promises to be a must-visit for any fan in Tokyo over the coming weeks.
