The Anime Her Friend Premieres Its Uncensored Version on AnimeFesta

Today is a big day for those of us waiting for the unrestricted cut of Her Friend. The AnimeFesta platform announced that, starting at 1:05 AM on October 5, 2026, the completely irregular version of this TV anime is now available, a special edition that shows the series as it was originally conceived before going through TV censorship.

This version, distributed exclusively by AnimeFesta, keeps the direction and details that had to be toned down during the regular broadcast. It's basically the only way to watch the full story without cuts.

The anime adapts the manga by jura, a massive hit on Yanmaga Web. The story is a tale of betrayal and desire that already had readers on the edge of their seats, and its jump to animation was one of those announcements you don't forget.

An exclusive for those who want the original work

AnimeFesta is an anime subscription service focused on offering series without the limits of broadcast television. Its catalog ranges from the latest premieres to isekai, fantasy, romantic comedies, and science fiction, with a good number of exclusive titles.

What sets the platform apart is its Premium label: unregulated versions you can't watch anywhere else. That said, accessing certain content marked with that label requires a premium plan.

The company behind all this is Wave, a digital entertainment company that also operates ComicFesta, its digital manga label, and the Deregula animation label. With this strategy, they've spent years betting on producing and distributing anime that wouldn't fit into traditional programming.

For now, the completely irregular version of Her Friend is only confirmed for AnimeFesta. There's no news about a release on other platforms or a possible arrival in Latin America with a Spanish dub or subtitles, something more than a few people are already asking about on social media.

We'll have to keep an eye on whether Wave makes a move to bring this version to its international service OceanVeil, which already distributes other titles from the group outside Japan. For now, it's time to enjoy the premiere where it is available.
