SAKAMOTO DAYS Opens Original Exhibition in Nagoya with Unseen Material
The show will be at Telepia Hall until November 23 and includes over 170 finished originals and 90 production pieces never seen before.
Fans of SAKAMOTO DAYS in Japan can now visit the manga's major original exhibition. The show opened its doors on October 3 at Telepia Hall in Nagoya and will run until November 23.
The news comes directly from the Yomiuri Shimbun, which confirmed the opening of the event dedicated to Yuto Suzuki's work, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. We love seeing how a manga that blends action and comedy with a retired protagonist keeps growing through in-person events like this.
The exhibition brings together more than 170 finished originals, including color illustrations. The most striking part is that it also showcases over 90 production material pieces presented to the public for the first time: rough sketches, inked linework, and other documents from Suzuki's creative process.
An Immersive Experience for Fans
The setup goes beyond hanging pages on a wall. The organizers opted for a dynamic staging that uses the illustrations as a focal point to create immersive spaces. Attendees can take photos and walk through an environment designed to pull them into the world of the series.
At the start of the Nagoya venue, a handwritten message from Yuto Suzuki, written especially for the occasion, is also on display. A detail that adds a lot of value for those who have followed the work since its early days.
Tickets are priced at 2,000 yen for adults, 1,500 for junior high and high school students, and 900 for elementary school children. There is also a ticket with merchandise included for 4,200 yen.
Tickets and Key Dates
Those planning to attend should note that the October 4 slot from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. has already sold out its timed-entry tickets. The rest of the season remains available, but it's worth checking availability by day.
As a gift for visitors, the organizers are handing out a magazine-style sticker, with four different designs distributed randomly. A simple extra, but one that's always appreciated at this kind of event.
The exhibition had already generated anticipation since its announcement, and now that it's open in Nagoya, it's clear the franchise keeps finding ways to connect with its audience beyond the anime and manga. Hopefully, a show like this can make its way to Latin America someday.
