Saint Seiya: Dark Wing and Garagarapom End in November
The January issue of Champion Red magazine, on sale November 19, will bring the final chapters of both mangas.
The wait is over: two mangas we've been following closely wrap up their stories in the same month. Saint Seiya: Dark Wing and Garagarapom will publish their final chapters in the January edition of Champion Red magazine, which goes on sale in Japan on November 19.
The announcement comes directly from the magazine, which confirms that both series share their ending in the same issue. It's a curious move: two different works, with very different audiences and tones, saying goodbye at the same time. For those of us who collect or follow month to month, November will be a bittersweet month.
Two Farewells in One Magazine
Saint Seiya: Dark Wing is the manga that has kept us hooked with its reinterpretation of the Knights of the Zodiac universe. The work moves away from what we know of the classic franchise and has carved out its own space among Champion Red readers.
Meanwhile, Garagarapom has built its story at a very different pace, and those who read it know that its ending wasn't something expected so soon. The magazine hasn't detailed how many chapters each manga's finale will have, nor has it teased anything about how their plots conclude.
What's Still Unknown
So far, the confirmed details are few: the magazine, the publication date, and that both series end in the same issue. There's no information on whether Saint Seiya: Dark Wing will have a sequel, whether Garagarapom will be collected in a special final volume, or if either will be published in Latin America.
What we do know is that on November 19 we'll have two endings on the table. And for those of us who follow these mangas, that date is already marked on the calendar.
