Pokémon Scarlet and Violet manga releases volume 6 on October 13
VIZ Media puts the new 96-page volume on sale for $5.99, with the battle between Violet and Mela as the main event.
VIZ Media will release volume 6 of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet manga on October 13, 2026. The volume is already available for pre-order and will cost $5.99.
This is not a reissue of the Nintendo Switch games, but a brand-new volume of the manga adaptation. It has 96 pages and picks up the story right where the previous volume left off.
The series is written by Hidenori Kusaka with art by Satoshi Yamamoto. It began publication in 2025 and already has seven volumes confirmed. The first five are on sale, and the seventh will arrive on February 9, 2027.
A story that allows itself its own twists
The manga adapts the games, but it doesn't copy them. It rearranges plotlines, introduces original characters, and changes some scenes. Anyone coming from Paldea will recognize the world, but they'll find surprises along the way.
In this volume, the Gym battle against Kofu is already behind us, and now Violet faces off against Mela. The official synopsis leaves one question hanging: will Scarlet be able to defeat the Titan Pokémon Iron Thorns?

The artwork and the light-hearted humor have earned the manga positive feedback. What doesn't convince everyone is the fast pace and the fact that Scarlet takes a while to appear as the protagonist.
On Goodreads, the manga has an average rating of 3.83 out of 5, with nearly 60 ratings. It's not a spectacular score, but it reflects that the series has its audience.
For those collecting the series in print, volume 6 can already be reserved ahead of its October 13 release. The conclusion of this first arc will come in February, with volume 7.
