Naruto x Ninku: Anime with Original Story Announced, Kishimoto Supervising
Team 7 falls into another world and meets Fuusuke in a collaboration no one saw coming.
One of those collaborations that could only exist in a fan's dream has just been confirmed: Naruto x Ninku will get an anime with a completely original story. Masashi Kishimoto and Kouji Kiriyama are supervising the project, so this isn't just a commercial crossover.
The news comes directly from China, where it was officially announced on October 11, 2026. There's still no confirmed studio or release date, but simply seeing Naruto and Fuusuke on the same screen is enough to get excited.
Naruto and Ninku characters together in a colorful landscape. The plot puts Team 7 in a situation we know well: Kakashi has other matters to attend to and leaves Naruto as substitute captain. He takes on the role with his usual attitude, but fate has other plans. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura end up in a parallel world during the mission.
That's where Fuusuke appears, the protagonist of Ninku, a ninja with a ridiculous appearance but impressive power. What awaits them in that world is a trial, a challenge whose details have yet to be revealed. The premise blends isekai with the classic spirit of both franchises.
What Ninku Is and Why This Collaboration Matters
Ninku is a manga by Kouji Kiriyama that also had an anime and a movie. The story takes place after a great war, with a protagonist who looks like a pug but hides brutal ninja talent. Fuusuke fights against an organization that was once heroic and has now become corrupted.
Naruto, on the other hand, needs little introduction. Kishimoto's work marked an entire generation with the story of a rejected boy carrying the nine-tailed fox inside him and fighting to become Hokage. It's one of the biggest anime franchises worldwide.
Having both authors involved as supervisors gives real weight to the project. This isn't a soulless special: there's an intention to take care of the characters and build something that respects the legacy of both works.
Isekai Comes to the Ninja World
I love that they chose the parallel world approach. It's a formula that current anime has mastered perfectly and allows universes to come together without forcing the internal logic of either one. Plus, seeing Naruto as substitute captain is a perfect nod to his personality: impulsive, loud, and with a huge heart.
Team 7's dynamic in an unfamiliar environment promises plenty of fun moments. Sakura trying to keep order, Sasuke analyzing everything coldly, and Naruto diving headfirst into the first problem he finds. And in the middle of it all, Fuusuke, a character many younger fans probably don't know.
This anime could serve as a gateway for new audiences to discover Ninku, a series that didn't have the same reach as Naruto in Latin America. Hopefully some platform will bring it with a Spanish dub, because the combination of these two worlds deserves to be heard in our language.
For now, we have to wait for more details: animation studio, voice cast, release date, and above all, whether it will reach Latin America. The news has just been announced and the excitement is only beginning.
