My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Arrives on Netflix in October

The platform also releases new episodes of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run and Underworld Spirits.

Laura Martínez 9 October 2026

Netflix has added My Hero Academia: Vigilantes to its catalog this week, according to its list of new releases from October 2–9, 2026. The series, which adapts the spin-off manga of My Hero Academia, is now available on the platform for all subscribers.

It's an action and superhero series produced in 2025. Unlike the main story, which follows the students of U.A. High School, this spin-off focuses on the so-called vigilantes: people who use their Quirks to fight crime outside the law. A different approach from the original work, with a more street-level and urban tone.

The My Hero Academia anime was already available on Netflix in several regions, so the arrival of this spin-off reinforces the platform's commitment to the franchise. For those coming from the manga, the adaptation was one of the most anticipated of last year.

More Anime Airing Every Week

The news doesn't come alone. Netflix continues airing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, the highly anticipated adaptation of the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki's manga. New episodes keep coming out regularly, something fans of the saga appreciate after years of asking for this season.

Underworld Spirits also continues, a 2026 series that blends action, adventure, comedy, drama, fantasy, and supernatural elements. Its weekly release on Netflix makes it a regular appointment for those who follow seasonal anime on the platform.

With these three series, Netflix covers very different profiles: superhero shōnen, JoJo's eccentric adventure, and a supernatural offering with comedic touches. It's not the first week the platform has bet on anime, but it is striking that it keeps three titles airing or newly released at the same time.

Netflix's anime catalog has grown considerably in recent years, with licenses that once seemed impossible and simulcasts with Japan. The fact that Steel Ball Run is on the platform is a good example: a few years ago, JoJo was scattered across several services depending on the country.

Now it remains to be seen whether My Hero Academia: Vigilantes arrives with an English dub or if for now it's only available in Japanese with subtitles. The series' page on the platform doesn't specify more details at the moment.
