It's Anime arrives on PS5, Pluto TV, and Prime Video with free anime
Remow's new channel launches with 'Tomodachi Talks', its first original program hosted by SungWon Cho and AJ Beckles.
Anime keeps gaining ground in free streaming. Remow has launched It's Anime, a live TV channel now available on PS5, Pluto TV, and Prime Video, among other platforms. The pitch is simple: free anime in exchange for ads.
The channel bets on a format familiar to those of us who grew up with traditional TV: continuous programming you can watch without a subscription, supported entirely by advertising. It's the same model we already know from Pluto TV, but applied exclusively to anime.
That said, Remow hasn't specified yet which series will be part of the lineup. We also don't know which regions it will be available in or what the broadcast schedule will look like. So, for now, we'll have to wait and see if the catalog delivers.
An original program with two familiar voices
What has been confirmed is the channel's first original program: Tomodachi Talks. At the helm will be SungWon Cho —whom many of you will remember for his voice acting work and his career as a content creator— and AJ Beckles, a voice actor with roles in recent anime.
No further details about the program have been shared: no format, no premiere date, no topics they'll cover. The name, "tomodachi" (友達), means "friend" in Japanese, so a laid-back conversation show seems likely, but that's just a guess. We'll have to see what they have in store.
More options to watch anime legally and for free
With It's Anime, the anime streaming ecosystem adds another alternative to the ones we already know. Pluto TV already offered themed anime channels, and now this new channel also arrives on consoles and Prime Video, which significantly expands its reach.
The move is reminiscent of what Crunchyroll did with its free streaming channel, though here the focus is purely on live TV. For viewers, the advantage is clear: turn it on and something is already airing, no need to decide what to watch. Like when we left the TV on in the background while doing something else.
The big questions remain unanswered: which series will be in the lineup and whether the channel will come to Spain and Latin America. For now, Remow hasn't spilled the beans. As soon as we know more, we'll let you know.
