Good Smile Opens Pre-Orders for New Cardcaptor Sakura Figure for Its 30th Anniversary
The Sakura and Cerberus statue recreates an original CLAMP illustration and comes with a light-up base in January 2028.
Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for a Cardcaptor Sakura figure celebrating the 30th anniversary of the manga. The piece, named G.S.Collection [SC] Sakura Kinomoto My First Sparkle, turns an illustration created by CLAMP specifically for this anniversary into a statue.
The release brings Sakura together with Cerberus in his true form, with wings spread and a base featuring an illuminated magic circle. It costs 59,800 yen, about 379 dollars, and will ship in January 2028. Pre-orders are now open on the official Good Smile store and CLAMP FANS.
This isn't the first time the Japanese manufacturer has worked with CLAMP on an anniversary piece. The collaboration began in 2016 with Sakura Kinomoto Stars Bless You, a 1/7 scale figure celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series. They teamed up again in 2021 with Sakura Kinomoto Always Together ~Pinky Promise~, this time for the manga's 25th anniversary, CLAMP's 30th, and Good Smile's 20th.
Now it's Cardcaptor Sakura's 30th anniversary, which coincides with CLAMP's 35th and Good Smile's 25th. And you can tell the occasion called for something more ambitious.
The G.S.Collection [SC] Sakura Kinomoto My First Sparkle figure recreates Sakura and Cerberus on an illuminated magic circle.A high-end figure with a new CLAMP illustration
Instead of revisiting one of Sakura's classic outfits, CLAMP designed a white ensemble with a blue swallowtail-style section. Good Smile applied a soft pink shading over the white fabric to give it volume, and the blue areas have a pearl finish that changes depending on the viewing angle.
Cerberus appears in his large form, not as Kero. The wings, feathers, fur, and even the paw pads feature detailed sculpting. But his expression retains Kero's friendlier personality. It's a detail I appreciate: it doesn't turn him into an imposing beast, but into the guardian we've known since the first volume.
The scene includes references to Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, the sequel CLAMP began publishing in 2016. Alice in Clockland stands out, the book that gains weight as the story approaches its final stretch. The Flight card and several books float around the figures with translucent pieces, reinforcing the feeling that they are suspended in midair.

The base is one of the piece's strong points. It includes an integrated LED lighting system that lights up the magic circle beneath Sakura and Cerberus. It's powered via USB Type-C, though the cable and power supply are sold separately. A detail that, honestly, feels stingy for a figure at this price.
The statue belongs to the G.S.Collection [SC] line, where SC stands for Signature Class. It's Good Smile's highest tier, reserved for pieces with particularly elaborate sculpting, painting, and production techniques. The same line recently welcomed the Hatsune Miku Symphony 2025: Sapporo Concert Ver. figure, which also originated from an illustration created for the occasion.
The original sculpt is by Takayuki Kawahara, who also handled part of the painting along with Iwabitsu. The final result is a 1/7 scale figure about 50 centimeters tall including the base.
Detail of the Sakura figure with her white and blue swallowtail-style outfit. The wait will be long: January 2028. Two years from when pre-orders open. That's not unusual for this kind of high-end release, but it's worth knowing before dropping nearly 400 dollars. Still, if the quality matches the two previous figures from the collaboration, the result could be one of those pieces that defines a collection.
The Sakura Kinomoto Always Together ~Pinky Promise~ figure, the second anniversary project between CLAMP and Good Smile. For now, pre-orders are only open on the official Good Smile store and CLAMP FANS. It remains to be seen if international distributors will offer it later and at what price.
