Dr. STONE TERRAFORMING: The Anime That Continues Senku After the Ending

The Dr. STONE universe is far from over. On October 10, 2026, during STONE FES. 2026 held in Japan, Dr. STONE TERRAFORMING was announced, a new animated installment that picks up the story of Senku Ishigami and his friends right after the end of the TV series.

The project will adapt the TERRAFORMING chapter, an extra chapter included in volume 27 of the manga that takes place after the main plot. The Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE series finished airing in June 2026, and this announcement makes it clear that the scientific adventures of the Kingdom of Science still have plenty of steam left.

A promotional video arrived alongside the announcement. The teaser shows an intense storm and a lightning bolt that disrupts the timeline of scientific achievements built by Senku and his allies. The piece ends with the protagonist's most recognizable catchphrase —"Sosoru ze, kore wa"— and the TERRAFORMING title on screen.

The creators celebrate the continuation

Riichiro Inagaki, the original author of the work, shared his excitement about this continuation and noted that, although the anime already adapted the manga's final chapter, there are still plenty of scientific escapades left for Senku. Illustrator Boichi also expressed his enthusiasm for the new project.

For now, there are no details on the release date, episode count, or distribution format. It hasn't been confirmed which platforms it will be available on either. The only thing for certain is that Dr. STONE TERRAFORMING is in the works and that Senku will once again take the lead in science.
