Diamond no Ace to hold poster exhibition and lottery at Animate in 2027
The event celebrates the Blu-ray and DVD release of act II's second season with activities at six stores and a double chance to win prizes.
Fans of Diamond no Ace in Japan have a date at Animate. From March 2 to 14, 2027, six stores of the chain will host a poster exhibition with scenes from the anime and an in-store lottery to celebrate the Blu-ray and DVD release of the second season of Diamond no Ace act II -Second Season-.
The box set, titled Seidou VS Inashiro Complete BOX, goes on sale on March 3, 2027. It includes the second season of act II, the arc that pits the Seidou team against Inashiro Industrial. The Blu-ray will cost 33,000 yen and the DVD, 31,900 yen.
Diamond no Ace poster exhibition and lottery at Animate starting March 2, 2027.Six stores, three activities
The participating locations are Animate Ikebukuro, Sendai, Shibuya, Nagoya, Yokohama Vivre, and Umeda. There you'll find the panels with anime illustrations, which can be photographed without restrictions.
The in-store lottery works like this: for each Blu-ray or DVD of the box set you buy, you get one entry. Everyone wins something. Prize A is a board with new line art, handed out on the spot. Prize B is one of the displayed panels, but you have to redeem it with a coupon starting March 16 and before closing on March 28. Heads up: since those panels were in the store during the event, they may have scratches or stains.
The new visuals of the characters in uniform are distributed by store. Sawamura Eijun appears in Ikebukuro, Sendai, and Umeda; Miyuki Kazuya, in Shibuya, Yokohama Vivre, and Nagoya. If you pre-ordered the product at any of these stores and pick it up during the event, you can also participate.
Double lottery for two lucky winners
Besides the in-store lottery, Animate is running a second nationwide contest. By buying selected products at any store of the chain, including the online store, you receive a coupon with a serial number. By registering it on CLUB animate —the chain's free points service— you enter a raffle for two acrylic stand sets with the new uniform visuals of Sawamura and Miyuki.
Coupons are handed out from March 2 to 28, 2027, and registration closes on April 4. Those who already participated in the store lottery can also enter this one, so the chances double for those who visit the stores with the exhibition.
The Diamond no Ace act II -Second Season- anime adapts the manga by Yuji Terajima published by Kodansha. The series follows the Seidou high school baseball team and their path through the national tournament, with Sawamura as pitcher and Miyuki as captain and catcher.
For now, Animate has not announced whether these activities will reach stores outside Japan. Fans in Latin America will have to settle for following the news from afar and crossing our fingers that someday the franchise will get an event like this over here.

The ability to take photos of the panels is awesome. The box is way over my budget and Japan is a bit far for me haha, but a sample of sports anime like that around here would really tempt me.
