A man sits by his dying wife, who promises to return after a hundred years. In another dream, a samurai encounters a mysterious woman who asks him to wait for her under a cherry tree. These are just two of the ten dreams that blur the line between reality and illusion, each one a fragment of a different narrator's subconscious.
Each night brings a new vision, from a child who must guard a grave to a traveler who meets a blind monk. The dreams explore themes of love, death, and the passage of time, drawing from the original stories by Natsume Soseki. As the narrators drift through these surreal episodes, they confront their deepest fears and desires.
