Toshiaki Minowa wins a talent audition held by Barnies, the largest idol agency in Hokkaido, and moves to Tokyo to pursue his dream of becoming an idol star. His true goal, however, is to reunite with Naoya, his childhood neighbor from Hokkaido.
Naoya is now the vocalist of the hugely popular rock band Succeed Cover. Toshiaki tries repeatedly to contact him, but Naoya is always absent. When Toshiaki finally gets close to Naoya's mansion, he is rescued from a crowd of fan girls by Naoya himself. Naoya tells Toshiaki that they should not see each other again for the sake of their careers.
