Usher Ke no Houkai
アッシャー家の崩壊
A nameless narrator visits his childhood friend, Roderick Usher, at the decaying Usher family mansion. Roderick is suffering from a strange illness and a heightened sensitivity to sensory stimuli. His twin sister, Madeline, is also gravely ill and soon dies. The narrator helps Roderick entomb her in the family vault beneath the house.
As a storm rages outside, the narrator reads to Roderick to calm his nerves. Strange sounds echo through the mansion, mirroring the story he is reading. Madeline, who was not truly dead, escapes her tomb and confronts her brother. The house begins to crumble, and the narrator flees as the mansion collapses into the tarn.
