University freshman Tachibana Akeru has always been judged by his beautiful face, leading to a lonely life without friends or lovers. One night, he gets caught in a fight and is rescued by Nishida Kimihiko, who offers him a place to live in the same apartment building as him and his two friends. As Akeru moves in, he begins to navigate new relationships and the complexities of living with others.
Meanwhile, the collection also includes other stories: a spin-off about bodyguards, a tale of a fight that leads to an unexpected encounter with a classmate's father, a continuation of that story, and a narrative about a young man rendered deaf in a motorcycle accident who meets an erotic novelist. Each story explores themes of connection and personal dilemmas.
