Tsurubara Tsurubara
つるばらつるばら
A collection of five short stories that capture quiet, everyday moments with an intimate and minimalist style. In "Tsurubara Tsurubara," a young woman reflects on her relationship with a man who grows roses, while "Natsu no yo no Baku" follows a woman haunted by a dream-eating tapir. "Diet" explores a woman's struggle with her weight and self-image, and "Mainichi ga Natsuyasumi" depicts a family's lazy summer days. The final story, "Koi wa Newton no Ringo," tells of a woman who falls in love with a scientist.
Each story delves into the subtle emotions and small conflicts of daily life, from unspoken desires and personal insecurities to the fleeting nature of love and connection. Through delicate, sparse artwork, the characters navigate their inner worlds and relationships, revealing the beauty and complexity hidden in ordinary moments.
