Masaki Tachibana leaves home to escape his oppressive father and shows up uninvited at his grandfather's house. There, he finds a garden he has seen in a dream, a mysterious old mansion, and a beautiful, strong-willed girl who lives there.
As Masaki settles into his new surroundings, he becomes entangled in a complicated web of relationships. Kagawa recounts his meeting and friendship with Okada, but when he is introduced to Okada's fiancée, the boundaries of their connection are tested. A mysterious drama of love and hate begins to unfold.
