Siren

Shiren is a collection of eight short stories by Masakado Kurono that explore the darker, more obsessive sides of love and desire. The first four tales—Trial, Vicious Circle, Adultry, and Obscene Climax—follow various characters entangled in relationships marked by betrayal, manipulation, and intense emotional conflict. These stories delve into the psychological turmoil that arises when passion turns destructive.

Later chapters, such as Toumei na Torikago (White Cage) and Aoi Akui (Green Malice), continue this theme, depicting individuals trapped in suffocating bonds or driven by jealousy and malice. The final story, Waidan - Blue Jokes, adds a cynical twist on intimacy. Throughout, the manga presents raw, adult situations where characters confront their own vulnerabilities and the consequences of their actions.
