Toko Nonomura is the only daughter of the Nonomura Hospital family. A skilled female doctor, she has harbored a dangerous love for gambling since childhood, one that has led her to wager even the lives of her patients. Her childhood friend, Kumi, comes to her for treatment of a chest disease, but the diagnosis takes a tragic turn.
Kumi commits suicide after being deceived by a lie told by her husband, Eijiro. When Toko discovers the truth behind her friend's death, she is consumed by rage. She decides to challenge the very hospital she was meant to inherit, setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation where medicine and gambling collide.
